How to measure which marketing source creates booked work

A simple attribution setup for tracking calls, forms, bookings, and revenue by channel.

Start with a small set of clear source labels: Google Business Profile, paid search, Instagram, referral, repeat customer, local partner, and walk-in. Add the source at enquiry or booking and make it required only when the team can ask without slowing service.

Use consistent campaign links in ads, email, social posts, and partner placements. Keep the naming simple enough to recognise later: channel, campaign, and month are usually sufficient. Send the visitor to a relevant page instead of the home page whenever possible.

Review booked revenue, not just clicks. A source that creates fewer enquiries may still produce the most profitable work. Compare show-up rate, average order value, repeat bookings, and cost over time before moving budget.
